Hi, I’m Dr. Tiffany Garcia
I’m a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition and Functional Medicine with a deep-rooted passion for helping people heal through food, lifestyle, and movement.
I grew up in a multicultural family where both sides raised their own food and cattle, so I was surrounded early on by the connection between what we eat and how we live. My interest in nutrition began at a young age, when I realized how much food affects my energy levels and athletic performance. In high school, I began experimenting with my own diet, including a phase of veganism (I’ve since evolved-sorry, not sorry). Through that experience, I discovered how powerful food can be, not just a fuel, but as a tool for healing.
Right out of high school, I pursued a career in dietetics, but quickly realized that the conventional Western approach to nutrition didn’t align with my perspective. I pivoted to studying exercise science and human biology, where I discovered my love for weightlifting and developed a deeper appreciation for how the body functions and adapts.
After earning my bachelor’s degree, I knew I wanted a more comprehensive and holistic understanding of nutrition. That led me to pursue my Master’s at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), where I studied the therapeutic power of food, sustainable farming practices, and how to manage chronic conditions through nutrition and lifestyle.
During this time, my nephew was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy—a moment that profoundly shaped my path. It fueled my desire to go deeper, ultimately leading me into functional medicine.
To me, functional medicine is the bridge between Western and naturopathic care. It recognizes that while conventional medicine has its place, our daily choices—what we eat, how we move, how we manage stress—play a critical role in our long-term health.
My approach is rooted in empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools to take control of their health in a sustainable, realistic way—because true healing isn’t about quick fixes, it’s about understanding your body and working with it.
I believe life is all about balance, and putting your health first should be a fun and enjoyable experience!
My Approach
I have worked in many professional settings-
From supporting partners with fertility, helping those recover from heart surgery, or helping individuals achieve their ideal body composition- I’ve helped thousands of patients regain their health and start living their best life.
As a nutrition Practitioner, I work with my clients/patients to help them develop a health plan that reflects what’s most important to them.
Together, we will look at your health history, current lifestyle, and eating patterns to build a personalized nutrition plan tailored to you!
